About Patrick Markey
Patrick Markey started the Law Offices of Patrick Markey, P.C. in 2006 after being associated with another Chicago based family law firm for several years. He has experience representing individuals from all walks of life and income levels including but not limited to: lawyers, business owners, executives, stay-at-home mothers, police officers, city workers, blue collar workers among others. Patrick represents clients in all areas of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, paternity and custody matters. His work includes every aspect of representation necessary in family law matters such as contested court proceedings, complex financial negotiation and complicated custody disputes.

Patrick currently serves on the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Section of Chicago Bar Association where he is Co-Editor of YLS Section of the Chicago Bar Association’s monthly magazine the CBA Record. Prior to this position he was Co-Chair of the YLS Family Law Section of the Chicago Bar Association. In 2009, he received a certificate in mediation after completing 40 hours of training for same. He also was admitted as a fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois in 2009.

Patrick received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002. While at Chicago-Kent he was on the Dean’s List and was chosen to compete in the VIS International Moot Court Competition in Vienna, Austria and Niagara International Moot Court Competition in Windsor, Canada.
